WARM UP

This warm up allows the athletes to prepare for the session to come, by stretching their muscles. The body temperature of the athletes will also increase, meaning there is a less chance of injury. Warm up’s are essential for every session to give the athlete the best chance performing to their full potential. The group successfully participated in the warm up, meaning that there was no injuries and the players had full movement of their muscles.
The warm up consists of the following movements:
Warm up:
- Run to half way and back 3 times
- Hip flexes
- High knees to the third line and jog back
- Butt kicks half way and jog back
- Lunges half way through third with back twist
- Sumo squats the rest of the way
- High skips
- Grapevine
Dynamic and static stretching
Reaction balls – speed
- In a squat
- Fast feet
